Dental hygiene is an important part of your pet’s health. Bad breath, drooling, discomfort while chewing, and loose or missing teeth are common signs of dental disease. When left untreated it may lead to other serious health problems such as heart disease and kidney disease. Routine dental exams are a core part of preventative healthcare. If your pet requires dentistry, they will receive bloodwork to check organ function prior to anesthesia as well as the dental cleaning and any necessary extractions. We monitor your pet closely throughout the remainder of the day, provide a detailed report card of their dental cleaning, and thoroughly review their procedure as well as the doctor’s recommendations for at home dental care at discharge.
